Barbara Walters did something rather shocking today on The View. She actually stood up to Donald Trump and let him know that he needs to stop his attack on Barack Obama as he’s beginning to look like a fool. Check it out below along with Donald Trump’s response.

Barbara Walters has always seemed to be afraid of Donald Trump, and even on yesterday’s The View show when comedian W. Kamau Bell spoke about Trump’s October surprise, she quickly came to The Donald’s defense. That changed today when even she knew how ridiculous and self serving yesterday’s big announcement was. I know someone in Walters shoes has to tread carefully to not make people angry since she may need them later for one of her specials or 20/20 shows to interview, but today, I started liking her again after speaking up and standing up to the guy who does have a quite the bullying tendencies when criticized.
Trump, who has made his birther views well-known, recently teased a “big announcement” that he said could change the course of the election. On Thursday, the real estate magnate offered Obama $5 million for the charity of his choice in exchange for releasing his college transcript.
As you can see below, he’s responded to Walters on his Twitter account and sounds as pompous as he always does even when he purely in the wrong.
Donald, you’re making a fool of yourself. You’re not hurting Obama, you’re hurting Donald and that hurts me because you’re a decent man. Stop it. Get off it, Donald.
Naturally, Trump had plenty of response on Twitter about Walters speaking out so forcefully below. You can tell by his little barrage, that her comments definitely got to him, and as they say, when you get angry at someone’s comments, many times it’s because you know there’s some truth to them.
.@barbarajwalters @theviewtvBarbara, unfortunately you’ve missed the entire point of my announcement–you just don’t get it!

.@barbarajwalters @theviewtv will apologize to me just like she did when I was right about @rosie. Besides, I get great ratings on The View.

.@barbarajwalters @theviewtv–Why did you choose me as one of the 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year last season (and more than once?)

Again, bravo to Barbara Walters for being so direct as many times she’s so busy walking the fine line of keeping everyone happy, she’s comes off rather afraid of speaking her mind so you won’t lose future interview opportunities.
