More of ‘The Avengers‘ movie images have hit along with a little more plot details which have been pretty quiet. With a movie this big, we knew that Loki couldn’t be the sole villain and it’s confirmed now.

As we all know, the studio and Joss Whedon have kept ‘The Avengers‘ movie plot pretty much under wraps. Aside from director Whedon letting us know that the perspective will be from Chris Evans Captain America, which makes sense, everything else has been quiet until now. Empire and EW pretty much have the lock on exclusive images for all the big superhero movies and here’s more of the latest images. Nothing earth shattering, but Marvel President Kevin Feige has his say and clears up some rumors.

We’ll be getting higher-rez scans, but this gives you a few more look since it’s been a couple weeks since the last ones hit. Speculation has been rampant if one of the original Avengers from the comic books will make an appearance or just a cameo. Spider-man will be dropping in, but just for a look quick before you miss him cameo. It would be a little off putting if Spider-man was in the film before his movie comes out. With the new ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, they have to adjust audiences to Andrew Garfield along with the new take on the Peter Parker story so the cameo is a nice reminder, as if we’ll need that when that marketing machine hits full force.

Feige does clear up that the Skrulls won’t be posing a threat in this film. “Who said they were aliens? … It’s not Skrulls, I’ve been clear about that. Beyond that, we want to hide it. The identity of the alien race is not impactful. It exists in the comic books, but we’re not setting up the Kree-Skrull war or anything like that.”

He also let us know that the Red Skull may not have been vaporized at the end of ‘Captain America: The First Avenger‘. “Was [Red] Skull vaporised at the end of [Captain America: The First Avenger], or thrust into another realm? That remains to be seen. It would be fun to see Skull in future, but he’s not in this one.”

Feige may be vague about Loki making a friend for super villainhood, we know that there’ll be more than one villain which would only be appropriate since he’s fighting quite the team of superheroes. You know Marvel and Whedon have thought this through from every angle so hopefully we’ll be surprised.
