Mitt Romney cancelled on Barbara Walters The View but sent in pinch hitter wife Ann Romney to tackle questions from Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg. She’s learned how to dance around hot button topics as you can see in the clip below.
Mitt Romney was schedule to take on Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg and Elisabeth Hasselbeck the wake of Mother Jones releasing a tape of Romney at a private fundraiser in May saying that, among the TV talk shows he would avoid during the campaign, The View is “high-risk because, of the five women on it, only one is conservative, and four are sharp-tongued and not conservative.” Then he quickly cancelled over the weekend which just doesn’t look so good, but he sent in wife Ann Romney to pinch hit for him.
She informed the women that if her husband doesn’t beat Barack Obama in the 2012 Presidential Election, this will be the end of politics for them. When Joy Behar pressed her on one area, she quickly said that they would have to get Mitt on the couch…not realizing the irony that she was sitting where he was supposed to.
