Chris Zylka might be out of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Asylum for hair issues, but the creepy teasers have amped up with the latest number 17 Spinning which has a few additional creepy people if you look closely enough. We have new images of them in case you miss them in this very jarring video.
Like nearly all of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Asylum trailers, Spinning 17 Teaser starts out looking innocent enough with a young woman spinning in the woods, but then you notice the straps on the ends of her arms showing that she’s in a strait jacket. This one has the old jumpy quality of Super 8 style film so you have to watch closely as you’ll quickly see that she’s not so alone. Then she begins to have a ghostly presence and blends in with the trees leaving you to wonder if she’s just a spirit being watched or not. The oversaturated colors really work well in this one, and you get a very fast glimpse at her face, which you can see below.

It’s interesting as the last frame that hits above looks like the girl has been transformed or is disappearing into a blast of light. These shots are rather striking with the play of color after the very stark ones that have been run previously. It has that mix of old mixing in with the present, much like the promo showing Adam Levine with a camera in present, and then he takes a picture and he’s sent back in time. These teasers have gotten more people talking than many upcoming shows which is a great marketing strategy when you can get people coming together to figure out the keys and clues that are being left behind with each one.
The upcoming season of American Horror Story: Asylum stars Jessica Lange, Adam Levine, Clea Duvall, Frances Conroy, Mark Consuelos, Lizzie Brochere, Franka Potente, Chloe Sevigny, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, James Cromwell, and Joseph Fiennes and will kick in October 17, 2012.
