FRIDAY ANGELEA PRESTON UPDATE: We’ve gotten a deluge of e-mails and calls from so many people which definitely shows this story isn’t going away anytime soon even though the CW seems like they’d rather it did. Another site that Angelea Preston used was angeleaonline.com, but as this story gets odder the more you dig, her contact information doesn’t take you to the Model management Group New York, but just a gmail e-mail.
As we all know pretty much what talent managers do, it seems very odd first that her company wouldn’t have purchased up her domain name immediately, but that one is still up for sale. Also, any manager or agency will make sure that any booking or contact information goes directly to them so even this other website make you just wonder what in the heck is going on with all these people. And then what company is going to use a gmail account to book their clients??? Keeps those tips coming in everyone, we’ll figure this out as it really keeps getting odder as I go even though I’m not even a fan of the dang show!
It’s been weeks since Angelea Preston was ‘disqualified’ from Tyra Banks’ ‘America’s Next Top Model All Stars’, but the mystery continues as now even Preston’s website domain has gone up for sale.

In reality world, the Angelea Preston disqualification would be milked by the network and producers of the show to high heaven, so the way that ‘America’s Next Top Model’ Tyra Banks and company have kept so mum only keeps this odd story interesting. This season of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ pretty much sucked so this would’ve been a ratings bonanza for such a bust season.

Plus the fact that Banks will normally take an opportunity like this to really lay into a model who does what she deems isn’t right. Remember the season when the one girl acted like she didn’t care about being disqualified and Ms. Tyra tore all over her turning that panel into quite the viral video and video remix. The odd things that have been happening since then have kept me wondering about this since normally I just wouldn’t care who won or didn’t win this show, but the silence has been deafening so we did a little checking here and things only got weirder.
On December 9th, it was announced that Preston would be doing a ‘tell all’ press conference to give her side of the story, but then it was quickly dispelled as a rumor. Three different modeling agencies seems to have been claiming her, but now only Model Management Group has a single picture of her on their site, but nothing else. Then last week it was reported that Preston has a very major project in the works which would basically be a reality show about her on a major cable network where she talks about modeling.
The outspoken model has suddenly been silenced it seems after she Tweeted “OMG!!!! IM TRENDING WORLDWIDE on twitter right now!!!!!!!!!! Wowwwww!! That’s the whole world!! Lol! #humbled!! Thanks y’all!!! #LOVE” and her Facebook page where she was very vocal has also fallen silent this month. We checked out her website angeleapreston.com where she had been keeping that updated during the run of “America’s Next Top Model” but today I see (and you can from the image below) that it’s up for sale which just seems bizarre, especially if her management company had her do that.

After talking to a couple of the agencies who had claimed they were representing Preston, I’m even more baffled since no one’s stories match up, and today when I tried to contact Model Management Group I got a voice recording saying that the phone on their website was no longer in service! Their Toronto office did have a voicemail at least which just makes me wonder if Preston had a lot of people rush out of the woodwork after the ANTM controversy to boost their agencies and found out there was more to the story and just don’t know what to do with her now.
Since the CW and ANTM has been so tight lipped about all this, it’s appearing that it wouldn’t make them look good, although many ANTM fans are still angry at the show which usually revels in these types of things happening…but when they have control. They’ve even kept quiet about ex-judge Janice Dickinson’s claim that the show is rigged and Cover Girl actually chooses the winner and not the judges. Could this by why Andre Leon Talley is not returning next season?
Writer Rich Juzwiak, who’s quite the ‘America’s Next Top Model’ expert, has this to say. “Something tells me that we have no idea what this information was (that’s, of course, if there was information in the first place — I wouldn’t put it past the show to invent this development entirely for the sake of a dramatic final act). I have a feeling that it’s something that would have shamed the show far more than Angelea. [...] I’d guess the secret information would have somehow revealed a lapse in background checking that would ultimately make the show look negligent for signing Angelea on in the first place.”
A couple of our sources on the production told me that normally information flows freely at Tyra Banks production company, but they’ve been on permanent information lockdown and Banks quickly flew off to Bali shorty after everything exploded in the press. So the one we know is that Ms Tyra certainly knows what happened, but it’s doubtful she wants it to get out along with the CW.
