‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘ is jumping into the superhero marketing battle right after Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ epic trailer hit last night. We get to see a rather scuffed up Spider-man in the new poster after we posted images of a bloodied Peter Parker aka Andrew Garfield.

We can safely assume Spider-Man has just done battle with the Lizard and he’s met his match ala Batman’sThe Dark Knight Rises‘ vs Tom Hardy’s Bane.

It’ll be interesting to see how Spider-Man dukes it out at the box office in January since it’s a very big superhero summer, and that makes for a great summer!

The Amazing Spider-Man Movie Synopsis
“The Amazing Spider-Man” is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

He was Spider-Man before Uncle Ben died. He just didn't start doing things that were justified until he died.

Potential Spoiler, Gwen Stacy knows Peter's Spider-man. Emma leaked that out during an interview.

Peter does mention "it's my responsibility" so I'm guessing Ben does tell him the famous line... "with great power, comes great responsibility." They said that Ben's death doesn't have as much influence on Peter becoming Spider-Man... but I guarantee he WILL die. There are set photos of him being killed...

I think I've worked it out. Peter finishes Connor's equation for the injection that will turn the latter into the Lizard. So, I'm going to hazard a guess... POTENTIAL SPOILER! The Lizard will kill Uncle Ben. Peter will feel responsible for the Lizard's creation and Ben's death. I'm willing to believe that, even as a non-fan who still knows the original outcome of the comics.
