Indie Genius Best Horror Movies Ever
Ginger Snaps was one of those great surprises for best horror movies ever. Ginger Snaps takes the whole werewolf mythology and turns it on its ear and takes menstruation anxiety to a whole new level.

Best horror movies ever has put Ginger Snaps on it’s top list for horror movies and when you check out the movie (below) you’ll see why. It’s nothing like you’d expect which is what we loved about it. The 16 and 15 year old sisters Ginger and Brigitte are doing their best to stay outsiders. The typical stupid foolin’ around cheerleaders attracting testosterone-regulated boys are really turning them off. “Out by sixteen or dead in this scene – together forever” is their morbid pact – because what classmates or their own mother consider as “becoming a woman” seems to be the same as getting dumber due to hormonal alterations. So the wicked girls prefer to fake and imitate 1001 arts of dying for their school project, including decapitations and lawnmower-splattered bodies. But nothing can stop the disaster that is about to happen… While walking through the forest at night a petrifying beast, allured as Ginger is on the rag, attacks her. Since then, infected with the obsession for meat, Brigitte’s sister turns more and more into a Vamp that picks up boys at daytime and eats the dogs of their hated classmates in the night. Ginger’s escalating thirst for blood begins to get out of control and even her innocent sister Brigitte isn’t able to stop her.
Here’s the basic synopsis for Ginger Snaps for you all.
A mother finds her dog’s mutilated body strung across the lawn. Meanwhile, a slideshow of Brigitte (Emily Perkins) and Ginger Fitzgerald (Katharine Isabelle) creating staged deaths for a school project plays in their classroom. Their teacher and the school’s guidance counsellor, Mr. Wayne, (Peter Keleghan) demands to see them after class. Later, they smoke and play “Search and Destroy” on the school’s game field, dissing people they dislike, and imagining how they may die. Trina Sinclair’s (Danielle Hampton) friend overhears Brigitte describing Trina’s character and death, and tells Trina. The sisters notice this, and Ginger tells Brigitte she will “cover her” in the game. However, as Ginger is distracted, Trina pushes Brigitte into the remains of a dog, a victim of the Beast of Bailey Downs, a wild animal which has been killing pet dogs. Together, Brigitte and Ginger decide to kidnap Trina’s dog that night, and imply that the Beast of Bailey Downs killed it.
