Best horror movies ever heard a lot about the horror movie Audition long before we got a chance to check it out. When we did check out Audition, man were we in for quite a shock. This film more than lived up to all the hype. I saw that Eli Roth had talked it up a lot, but we figured it was just so he could get onto the 100 Best Horror Moments on Bravo.

What the Audition’s about for best horror movies ever and why we put it on our top list.

A gorgeous youngish Japanese girl (Eihi Shiina) sits in her apartment while her phone rings. A large, tightly sealed sack rests a few feet away. As the ringing continues, she raises her head, her long hair parting to reveal a slight smile. Suddenly the heretofore dormant sack comes alive and violently throws itself against the wall, while a sound that can best be described as the roar of an extremely perturbed lion accompanies the action. Self-propelled bags are freaky enough but what makes this even more startling is that up until now, Audition has been a light airy romantic drama seeming type of film.

Audition is one of those movies thats great to watch with other people who’ve yet seen it just to see their reactions. Audition is not for everyone, especially the squeamish. What starts out like a breezy, lame, romantic comedy and turns quickly into a nightmare that you won’t soon forget. You’ll be telling your friends about this one for a long time to come. I’ve seen it a few times and still get very creeped out and squeamish knowing what’s coming up.

Audition is a like a very intense version of May, which is also on our favorite list of best horror movies ever.

So enjoy Audition with best horror movies ever, indie genius and curt johnson and don’t say we didn’t warn you!
