It’s rare to see a trailer get early promotion, but Ridley Scott always likes to try new things, and below is a cool promo for his ‘Prometheus‘ movie. Trailer for a trailer anyone?
Ridley Scott still insists that ‘Prometheus‘ is only slightly connected to ‘Alien’, this film feels very ‘Alien‘ pre-Sigourney Weaver, and even the set where he’s doing his interview harkens back to the film that changed sci-fi horror. There’s even that famous acid blood to dissolve a helmet so yeah, it’s only ‘slightly’ connected to ‘Alien’!
Fox is obviously going to push the ‘Alien’ connection as much as possible no matter what Scott says, but it’ll be interesting to see how the full trailer winds up looking when it hits December 2011. Then we’ll really kick in with the comparison/contrast to the ‘Alien‘ movie.
