More Blood, More Skin ‘Spartacus: Vengeance’ Trailer, Images & Featurette Hit

Starz’ ‘Spartacus: Vengeance‘ is back with more blood, gore, mayhem, violence and of course, sex as the new trailer, featurette and hot images show. Interestingly, Liam McIntyre looks very much like Andy Whitfield now too, but we’ll see if his acting can compare.

With Andy Whitfield’s passing, Starz knew they would have to really ramp up their hit show ‘Spartacus: Vengeance‘, and as you can see in the trailer and images below, they did just that. With Liam McIntyre taking over the role that Whitfield made so memorable, it’s looking like he was transformed to look just like his predecessor. McIntyre already had a passing similarity to Whitfield as the pic below shows, but as your check out the trailer and all the images see if you agree.

Starz has already renewed the ‘Spartacus’ show for a third season before the second once hits the cabler January 27, 2012 so you know they’ve got a lot of believe in this one, and you know we’re all going to watch it for the ‘history’ lesson we all love to learn. The minute and a half trailer below will definitely make you want to visit those gladiators next month, and here’s a nice little collection of images for all walks of life to appreciate.

Spartacus Vengeance Synopsis
On the heels of the bloody escape from the House of Batiatus that concluded “Spartacus: Blood and Sand,” the gladiator rebellion continues and begins to strike fear into the heart of the Roman Republic in “Spartacus: Vengeance.” Gaius Claudius Glaber and his Roman troops are sent to Capua to crush the growing band of freed slaves that Spartacus leads before it can inflict further damage. Spartacus is presented the choice of satisfying his personal need for vengeance against the man that condemned his wife to slavery and eventual death or making the larger sacrifices necessary to keep his budding army from breaking apart. Containing all of the blood-soaked action, exotic sexuality, and villainy and heroism that has come to distinguish the series, the tale of Spartacus resumes in epic fashion.

Starring Liam McIntyre (stepping in for the late Andy Whitfield as Spartacus), Lucy Lawless, Manu Bennett, Peter Mensah, Dustin Clare, Karina Law, Craig Parker, and Viva Bianca.

@TheBlueScarlet LMAO...wow. You think this is copying from gladiator? Gladiator wasn't even based on true events of a single character. Spartacus actually existed, so did Glaber and most characters in the series. And if a president movie about president Clinton came out in 1992, would a movie about Obama in 2008 be a copy of it?

@DanStummer Some seem to think different=bad. Sucks for them cause Stars has already renewed the show for a 3rd season after veng. So unless Liam is pulling one over on starz he must be doing something right.
