New posters for ‘The Hunger Games, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ ‘John Carter’, ‘Safe House’ and more have just hit this week so you can check them out below.

Tis the season that the movie studios bombard us with the upcoming summer 2012 marketing stills, posters, clips & prelogues (Dark Knight Rises), so here’s a bunch of new posters for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, The Hunger Games, Safe, John Carter, Chronicle and ParaNorman. These new posters for ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter‘ look more like shots from a graphic novel than a real person, but as you can see above and below, they’ve done a ‘Day’ and ‘Night’ version with ole Abe holding his ax. If you’ve not read the book by Seth Grahame-Smith, it’s definitely worth picking up for a cool alternate look at Abraham Lincoln.

I have to give the producers and marketing department for ‘The Hunger Games’ some kudos for their very original marketing for this film. A viral campaign went out yesterday with 100 different “puzzle pieces” of the poster distributed to 100 different websites, for fans to collect and put together. As rapid as fans are of this upcoming film, that went over amazing, and as you can see below, the image they pieced together is dramatic. You can see that Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) is about to head off to the games, or is about to be served to the mobs.

Now we’ve got ‘John Carter’ doing what these films do best; show off lots of man flesh while having a sense of danger to make it okay to ogle the poster. Yeah, he’s got barely any clothes on, but he’s in danger…
