‘Absolutely Fabulous’ Movie Finally Coming

All you ‘Absolutely Fabulous‘ fans can rejoice as Jennifer Saunders finally stated that she’s ready to pen an Ab Fab movie to continue the trend crazed pill popping saga of Edina Monsoon and Patsy, her sex/booze crazed best friend.

Fans of the hit BBC show ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ aka Ab Fab will be delighted to know that Jennifer Saudners is ready to send Edina and Patsy down that trend crazed runway movie style. For those that aren’t aware of this edgy show at the time, Ab Fab was a huge BBC hit that ran from 1992-1995 and when it crossed over here, it became a enormous worldwide hit. Accredited online colleges have film production programs for people who want to get into movie production.

Saunders and Lumley brought the show back for a bit, but it wasn’t the same. I’m not sure if too much time has passed, but it felt more like someone was kicking a dead horse, but thankfully there’s been enough time and Jennifer Saunders knows to come up with something fresh for the boozing friends, especially if they want to grab a whole new set of fans. Repeats of the show have been growing again in popularity, so along with the movie, there’s three tv specials planned.

If you recall everyone, including Roseanne (who tried to badly replicate the show in her final season of ‘Roseanne’) have tried to bring it over to America but it just doesn’t translate so well. All that happened a couple years back was the failed pilot so thankfully Saunders is ready and biting at the bit to show the U.S. how it’s done. “We thought it would be hilarious if [Edina and Patsy] went to a party on an oligarch’s yacht, got drunk, fell asleep and woke up in the middle of the ocean,” Saunders offered. “Everyone else has left, and the ship has been moved on.” Of course, their cell phones can’t get a signal either.

Yeah, I know, it sounds a little thin, but Saunders has been on a killer role for the past few years, and her comedy has been spot on so I think the timing is right for Edina and Patsy to hit the big screen.
