’21 Jump Street’ Latest Trailer – Only Thing Getting Blown Tonight

The latest trailer for the ‘21 Jump Street‘ movie looks a lot like the last one, but the tagline for the poster definitely made me smirk.

Yup, the only highlight for ‘21 Jump Street‘ for me is the tagline ‘The only thing getting blown tonight is their cover‘. Let’s face it, no one has high hopes for this tv remake film so at least the trailers don’t take itself too seriously either. Although remake, is quite the stretch since what we’ve been seeing only references (barely) the original FOX tv show before that network became the powerhouse it is now. This one has Channing Tatum with that roid bloat look and Jonah Hill who just seems like he’s playing the exact same role he’s been doing for a while now, just in a smaller body. Their chemistry seems pretty good much like Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell in ‘The Other Guys’, but don’t expect that good of a comedy here.

21 Jump Street Movie Synopsis
In the action-comedy 21 Jump Street, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are more than ready to leave their adolescent problems behind. Joining the police force and the secret Jump Street unit, they use their youthful appearances to go undercover in a local high school.     @coqui1337 Arguably, these shows provide good premises for making Hollywood movies, that’s not my issue. I’m saying people should stop complaining that these movies don’t resemble their original counterparts. Your favorite show is not necessarily as good as you remembered, and it was suited for a different generation. It seems only natural that a movie made over 20 years later would be different to suit our society….
